sai.shiki.sai.zuⅧ
Project Type
Contemporary Abstract Photography / Mixed Media
Sai.shiki.sai.zu Ⅷ” is a work in which the artist photographed a self-made object and then painted over it.
Through the act of layering photography and painting, a new image emerged with a fresh emotional resonance.
Since childhood, the artist has loved painting, and growing up around his father’s paint shop, colors, pigments, and materials naturally became part of his creative language.
He recalls being fascinated, as a child, by the swirling paints in the opening sequence of the series Ultra Q.
Although unrelated to the work itself, that impression—along with memories of watching his father mix colors—nurtured his sensitivity to color.
「Sai.shiki.sai.zu Ⅷ」
